Important Information
  • All Staff: Choose ONE Keynote and ONE Lunch

  • Required Sessions: Attend sessions that are noted as required for your role. This will be communicated from the department or area you work with (Exceptional Children, Student Services, etc.). 

  • Filtering Sessions: You can filter sessions by clicking “Filter By Type” on the left-hand side of the page on the desktop version of Sched. “All Teachers” Sessions are for all staff. “K-2 Teachers” are targeted for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade Teachers, 9-12 Teachers for High School teachers, etc. For example, a Kindergarten teacher can click “K-2 Teachers” and see all sessions that would apply to them. You can further filter by sub-type in each area, by hovering over the type: review session titles and descriptions for more specific information. The search feature in the top right is also helpful for finding sessions using keywords.

  • Networking and Collaboration Sessions: These sessions are provided for many content areas, grade levels, and specialty areas. Filter by the session type that best matches your role to see if a Networking and Collaboration/Job Alike session is offered.

Using the TPCASTT Method when annotating

Using the TPCASTT method of annotating promotes engagement, learning, reflection, and interaction. We will introduce TPCASTT, discuss and show how we use this in our classes by starting our own activity so attendees can see how it unfolds. When done, small groups will assemble where participants will work together to annotate their favorite songs or poems. Attendees will receive a detailed description and breakdown of the TPCASTT method, along with an outline and visual examples. Standards covered include:
RL. 11-12.1, RL. 11-12.2, RL 11-12.3, RL. 11-12.4, RL. 11-12.5, and Rl. 11-12.6

Interdisciplinary Integration: Creating Engaging Cross-Curricular Lesson Plans for Middle School

Starting your STEM Journey

This session is designed for teachers new to a STEM school only. The purpose of this session is to equip teachers with the skills and strategies necessary to begin teaching at a STEM elementary school. Teachers will engage in a problem-based learning lesson and be introduced to district-wide resources available to elementary STEM teachers. This session will introduce beginning and experienced teachers to STEM in CCS.
