The search feature in the top right is also helpful for finding sessions using keywords.

Critiquing Practices with Gizmos

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session allows educators to experience the Critiquing Science practices of Engaging in Argumentation from Evidence, and Obtaining, Evaluating, and Communicating Information when embedded within exemplary Gizmo lessons. Consequently, participants develop a deeper understanding of the Scientific and Engineering Practices and how those practices look in the classroom. Teachers will also learn to develop effective lessons around the practices that allow students to develop a deep conceptual understanding of underlying scientific principles. Attendees will receive resources for each Critiquing Practice including graphic organizers, question prompts, and student look-for lists. Gizmos swag will also be raffled off during the session.
