  • All Staff: Choose ONE Keynote and ONE Lunch

  • Required Sessions: Attend sessions that are noted as required for your role. This will be communicated from the department or area you work with (Exceptional Children, Student Services, etc.).

  • Filtering Sessions: You can filter sessions by clicking “Filter By Type” on the left-hand side of the page on the desktop version of Sched. “All Teachers” Sessions are for all staff. “K-2 Teachers” are targeted for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade Teachers, 9-12 Teachers for High School teachers, etc. For example, a Kindergarten teacher can click “K-2 Teachers” and see all sessions that would apply to them. You can further filter by sub-type in each area, by hovering over the type: review session titles and descriptions for more specific information. The search feature in the top right is also helpful for finding sessions using keywords.

  • Networking and Collaboration Sessions: These sessions are provided for many content areas, grade levels, and specialty areas. Filter by the session type that best matches your role to see if a Networking and Collaboration/Job Alike session is offered.

Learn how to best include ALL students in the educational environment. Whether you’re a general education teacher, an EC teacher, administrator, or a related service provider, this session will provide you with practical ideas and resources to help you implement evidence-based strategies to support and understand students with disabilities and reduce misinformation surrounding students with disabilities. By the end of the session, participants will be able to identify at least 3 useful strategies to incorporate into their everyday teaching and planning to include and support children with exceptionalities to ensure they are being provided the most effective and inclusive education possible. Learn about EC-specific jargon, the different types of EC classrooms in Cabarrus County, the spectrum of EC services available, and how to provide more context into the lives of students with disabilities.
