Building Strong Relationships with Students Who Have Challenging Behaviors

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Some of our students are struggling with personal conflicts that can manifest into challenging behaviors at school. The question is: how as a teacher or administrator can you build positive relationships with these students so they can be successful inside and outside the school? The key lies in 3 words: Time, Tone, and Turf. In this session, we will share our personal experiences, teach you the philosophy behind Time, Tone and Turf, and have you work through some real scenarios to apply the principle. We will also provide you a digital document that lists a number resources, tools, and methods that you can us immediately to start building strong relationships with ALL of your students. This session is for K-5 elementary teachers and administrators.
