The search feature in the top right is also helpful for finding sessions using keywords.

Developing Data Literacy in the Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The purpose of this session will be to introduce different resources and methods of incorporating data literacy techniques into the classroom. This session will include an overview of what data literacy is and what resources are available for it. Along with reviewing techniques used in relation to digital literacy. The goal for the end of the session is for every member of the session to walk away with a plan of how to incorporate data literacy into at least one lesson. We will show examples of different ways to incorporate it into the classroom. For example having the students look at a graph during notes or as a warm up. Along with having the students create their own based on data they collected.
