Planning With Your Highest Level Learner in Mind

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The purpose of our session is to redefine differentiation beginning with the needs of the highest or most able learners first. We will also touch on perfectionism in high ability learners.

The objective of our session is that teachers will learn the five steps to tiering instruction based on the work of Lisa Van Gemert “The Gifted Guru”, examine some case studies, and be able to apply the five steps in future planning. Attendees will also learn strategies for helping high ability learners recognize and manage perfectionism.

We will engage the audience by analyzing and discussing the case studies evaluating the effectiveness of each example. Presenters will provide support to attendees while preparing to plan for the highest level learner in mind.

Attendees will receive Google Slides presentation and handout with the 8 Tiering Possibilities.
